Acht Jahre sind seit dem letzten Studioalbum von „In Strict Confidence“ vergangen – eine lange Zeit, in der Fans auf neue Klangwelten gewartet haben. Den Auftakt macht eine Veröffentlichung, die zugleich Hommage und kraftvolles Statement ist: eine intensive Neuinterpretation des Klassikers „Blasphemous Rumours“ von „Depeche Mode“.
Das Original von 1984 stammt aus einer Phase, in der „Depeche Mode“ sich vom reduzierten Synthpop aus der Anfangsphase hin zu experimentelleren, dunkleren Electro-Klängen bewegten. Sampling steckte noch in den Kinderschuhen – und genau in dieser Aufbruchsstimmung entstand einer der prägendsten Songs der Bandgeschichte. „Blasphemous Rumours“ war ein herausragender Titel der 80er Jahre, der mit der Zeit in den Hintergrund trat – ein weiterer Grund, ihm mit dieser Version neuen Raum zu geben.
Für „In Strict Confidence“ war der Song seit jeher ein persönlicher Favorit. Die nun vorliegende Interpretation verleiht ihm eine moderne, energiegeladene Dynamik: druckvolle Elektronik, cineastische Atmosphäre und eine emotionale Tiefe, die den Geist des Originals respektiert und zugleich eine eigenständige Handschrift trägt. Begleitet wird die Single von einem eigens produzierten Musikvideo, das in der rauen, beeindruckenden Landschaft Islands gedreht wurde.
Mit „Blasphemous Rumours“ setzen In Strict Confidence ein kraftvolles Zeichen: als Verneigung vor einer prägenden Inspirationsquelle – und als selbstbewusster Auftakt in ein neues Kapitel der Bandgeschichte.

Eight years have passed since the last studio album by “In Strict Confidence” – a long time during which fans have been waiting for new sounds. The first release is both a tribute and a powerful statement: an intense reinterpretation of the classic “Blasphemous Rumours” by “Depeche Mode”.
The original from 1984 comes from a phase in which Depeche Mode moved away from the minimalist synthpop of their early days towards more experimental, darker electro sounds. Sampling was still in its infancy – and it was precisely in this spirit of optimism that one of the most influential songs in the band’s history was created. “Blasphemous Rumours” was an outstanding track of the 80s that faded into the background over time – another reason to give it new life with this version.
The song has always been a personal favorite of “In Strict Confidence.” The current interpretation gives it a modern, energetic dynamic: powerful electronics, a cinematic atmosphere, and an emotional depth that respects the spirit of the original while bearing its own signature. The single is accompanied by a specially produced music video, which was filmed in the rugged, impressive landscape of Iceland.
With “Blasphemous Rumours,” In Strict Confidence is sending a powerful message: as a tribute to a formative source of inspiration—and as a confident start to a new chapter in the band’s history.

„Cryogenix“ finally on vinyl
Lange 28 Jahre musste man warten. Nun endlich erscheint das Debüt-Album „Cryogenix“ endlich auch auf Vinyl. Und das gleich auf 2 der marmoriertem rot-schwarzen Scheiben als Doppel-Vinyl im Gatefold-Cover. Vollgepackt mit 14 Titel, darunter auch einige sehr rare und sogar unveröffentlichte Songs aus der Zeit.
Ursprünglich erschien „Cryogenix“ 1996 auf dem damaligen Electro-Kult-Label „Zoth Ommog“ (Front 242, Frontline Assembly,usw). Das Album avancierte sofort zum Szenehit und viele der Songs sind auch heute noch bei DJs und Fans gleichermassen beliebt. „Harmonie & Härte“ war das damalige Markenzeichen, dem sich die Band bis heute treu geblieben ist.

We had to wait a long 28 years. Now the debut album „Cryogenix“ is finally being released on vinyl. And on 2 of the marbled red and black discs as double vinyl in a gatefold cover. Packed with 14 tracks, including some very rare and even unreleased songs from that time.
Cryogenix“ was originally released in 1996 on the then electro cult label „Zoth Ommog“ (Front 242, Frontline Assembly, etc.). The album immediately became a hit with the scene and many of the songs are still popular with DJs and fans alike today. „Harmony & Hardness“ was the trademark at the time, and the band has remained true to it to this day.
